 Installation of Br. Kenneth. Br. Joaquin Martinez FSC was installed as the 4th President of De La Salle Lipa in simple ceremonies on 02 July 2010. The rites followed after a Eucharistic Celebration presided by the Archbishop of Lipa, Arch. Ramon Arguelles at the Capilla de San Juan Bautista De La Salle at DLSL.
As chair of the board, I administered the oath of office; Director of CHED, Region IV – A, Dr. Leonida Calagui gave the Presidential Medallion; Br. Mawel Pajarillo FSC, outgoing President, handed over the Presidential Mace.
In his remarks, Br. Kenneth thanked Br. Mawel Pajarillo for his leadership of the past seven years including initiating linkages with various universities and colleges abroad.
Present to witness Br. Kenneth’s installation were his immediate family including his youthful – looking mother, Remedios. Also around were Br. Kenneth’s close friends and classmates from LSGH. Congratulations Br. Kenneth.
LEAD Sondage Form. Br. Dennis Magbanua distributed the LEAD Sondage questions that should help the Brothers and communities reflect a little bit more on the leadership issues of new District. Kindly submit your forms to Mr. Ronnie Holmes on of before 15 July 2010.
De La Salle Lipa Canonical Visit. I visited De La Salle Lipa from 30 June – 2 June 2010. I interviewed the Brothers and joined them in their community activities. Br. Kenneth as President and Chancellor oversees the running of the whole institution. He is ably assisted by Br. Bong, Vice Chancellor for Administration. Under Br. Bong’s supervision would be Finance, Human Resouce and General Services. Br. Ruben is level 10 moderator and ensures discipline among students. He also has 2 teaching loads. Br. Aikee, in his first year in active ministry, is a 4th year homeroom adviser and handles Religious Education in the 3rd and 4th year. The visit was capped with a meeting with the community followed by a simple meal. Let us keep the Brothers of De La Salle Lipa in our prayers.
